DIGITISER on pages 180 - 186 on C4's teletext is the best games mag available, in my oh-so-humble opinion. It just won't be beat. It's not biased, and it's hated by all the games companies because it gives honest (and often scathing reviews). It also has fun slagging off basically everyone in the industry, including itself.
It's really funny and totally up-to-date. Look at www.teletext.co.uk/digitise.htm, I think, for details. Or www.bubblegun.com - the editors' website.

Who remembers a chap in the letters section of Digitiser about five years back called Mac'n'roll, who got rubbished by a good few people?

That wasn't you, was it?!
What about Stuart N Hardy, who's so regular on those pages he gets mentioned in the News section!

What did you think Mac'n'roll was like?
Stuart's name rings a bell...he's still writing to that place?!
I like The Man With A Large Chin, or whatever his name was...Chips & Teats was cool too, but times changed...

Mac'n'roll was you, wasn't he.
Admit it.
I can't really remember what he was like, to be honest, but I'm sure he was great (any sub-editor of h2g2 must be...).
The Man With A Long Chin became simply Man Diary, and occassonally has odd stuff like the Man's 'comedian' father and excerpts from film scripts etc.
Times changed, but Digi still 'rocks'. I'll read it long after my interest in games wanes.

Yeah, ok, Mac'n'roll was me when I was about 10 years old. Very pro-Nintendo. Famous for letters that would deal with up to three different subjects in one go, which nobody seemed to 'get'.
I preferred Man walc, he seemed funnier back then. Despite the fact his picture took up half the page *^_^*
Remember when Digi made up their own words and phrases for stuff? I thought that was cool.
