I thought Buccleuch, rather than Buccleauch, if we're getting picky about spelling....
or perhaps Buccleaugh! Spellcheckers don't know anybody, that's the trouble.

To be fair, DD, nowadays it's spelt with a 'c', it may not have been in Adam Smith's day.

And definitely no 'a' in Buccleuch. Though it may be Buccleugh - Burke's Peerage or Who's Who would confirm.
