After a good session in Birkenhead or Wallasey you might see the sun come up over the Liver buildings. Your first sentence runs the risk of not ringing true for absent scousers who have actually enjoyed this experience. Just a Birkonian having a dig!

Greetings Òover the waterÓ dweller.
In answer to your Birkonian dig: pretty soon, youÕll realise that only rarely do the editors let us write the first sentence. But IÕve no complaints, as most of my writing on the Liverpool Entry remained intact.
YouÕre right, of course, itÕs quite difficult to remain in Liverpool and be so far west that you can see the sun rise over the Liver Buildings. But what the hell! ItÕs lyrical. ItÕs beautiful. And whoÕs to say that it wasnÕt written by someone who has walked along the horizontal gantry of a crane in one of the old docks wielding an extra long periscope? Or someone simply walking on air from the best night out theyÕve ever had?
And, if neither of these, even seeing the sun rise from the Wirral is better than not being near Liverpool at all.
You should have known that a Scouser wouldnÕt have got that one wrong. If you want to see what the Absent Scouser actually did write, click here http://www.h2g2.com/A289262.
By the way, IÕve had one or two good sessions in Birkenhead and Wallasey myself.
Welcome to h2g2. Have a good time.
