Personally, I'm from Manchester but I've been to Liverpool on a few occassions in my time. In terms of food, well, without a doubt the best place to go is called 'The Life Bar'. It's a restaurant by day and a club by night. They serve the biggest mountains of food on masive plates, it tastes great and the prices are fantastic too! I would advise anybody who visits the centre of Liverpool to pop in a try this cracking place out. It's smack in the middle of the town centre just round the corner from The Howel Of The Moon (a club). The first time I went to The Life Bar was during the first few weeks of my first year at University (not Liverpool) and my friend took me in her car along with her famous best mate, Suzanne, also known as Nikki Shadwick from Brookside, and her boyfriend. That's one of my claims to fame.
I also recommend that people give the Tate Gallery a go. Art isn't everybody's cup of tea (I certainly didn't think it was mine before I came here) but some of the stuff in this place is fantastic! It's free to get in, but you have to visit quite frequently to keep up with the latest masterpieces because they chop and change their displays on a regular basis. Check it out, you may be pleasantly surprised!
