anfield was origionaly evertons ground till they couldnt (or wouldnt) pay the rent.so they went to goodison.stuck with a ground and no team the owner desided to make one and called it liverpool.
st lukes church at the top of renshaw st(or rapid st cos it just seems to be one shop,rapid hardware) is called "the bombed out church" for obvious reasons.
the mathew st festival.a yearly, free ,three day music event where the city centre gets roped of and much partying is done.
birkenhead park (or is it actualy called cental park) was the blue print for cental park new york.
the palm house ,peter pan,eros and the bird house in sefton(sevy)park are all beutifull and the park is huge.especially when the marie curie million daffodils are in full go.

william huskison,the first high profile train accident victim is buried in the anglican grave yard.
also in the anglican grave yard are the remains of tunnels dug to supply the stone for the building,the navvies at the time left their signitures carved in to the rock.

SCOUSE the food was aparently a viking dish called LOBSCOUSE.the stoke area has a similar dish to ours called LOB(i think its stoke ,that part of the world any way)

walton hospial used to be a work house,the man who campaigned to abolish workhouses worked there and is buried next door in rice lane cemetery ,which is between the hospital and the prison....handy.
ian brady is in ashworth home for seriously unhinged.
the thetis submrine disaster,the hatch was only feet bellow the mersy but only four could get out,the inner torpedo hatch was opened because the outer hatch rgisterd closed on the air buble device,this turned out to be a blob of paint.
