Well quite a nice article and I liked it.
I just wanted to add that the enhancement of the human body by artificial means is something that is happening now.
I don't mean people going out and becoming super-humans, but for an old person the replacement of say the hip joint is a change relative to that of a normal person getting super human charateristics.
Hip joints, pacemakers, artificial limbs, the list is growing. Work is ongoing in the field of artificial muscles and muscle control outside of the central nervous system.
I'm sure it won't be long before people will want (and pay) to be enhanced in some way like this - it probably already happens but is kept underground due to ethical considerations.
just thought I'd add my 2peneth

wow, i wonder if i can pay like a million dollars to get super strong legs so that i can run really fast or like leg augmenters that are worn externally to boost my power and flexibility.
Kinda like the things Jaxx has on his arms in Mortal Kombat 2 (movie)
