At least a killer whale called Shamu is. 25 feet long, and five tons...
Seaworld Florida boasts an active killer whale breeding program, as well.

There's a Namu (it's Namu innit?) which is the son/daughter whale of Shamu, and I thought it had finally come to replace the original. I'm frequently wrong, though, and should have learned by now not to talk.

well, might not be THE Shamu, it could be Shamu II, or III, or XXIV ... 
seems to me that Shamu has been around a long time, too. but then, I dont know how long killer whales live. I found the info at the Seaworld website.

Is not SeaWorld Florida in Orlando, though? That's the only one I know of there. Orlando is some distance from Miami, requires a trip of its own unless our researchers have lots of time to spend in Florida.

Precisely right... I suppose if we all decided to extend our visit for a week or two, we could hit all the lovely Orlando parks! (Emmy and I get an admission discount anyway. )
