The Coral Castle

This is a must see.
An immigrant came over (heartbroken for the love of a 16 yr old - known as Sweet Sixteen - for which Billy Idol wrote his song).
Anyway, the guy put all that lovelorn energy into building a castle out of coral for the girl. It is pretty amazing considering he was working with primitive tools and no one saw him work. The neighbors would wake up and there was some new thing in place.
Definitely a must see. And, plus too, in the gift shop, you can get a collection of the guys writing. (not just about Sweet Sixteen, but also about electronics/magnetism and other "Science topics).
He was an eccentric, but created a lasting work of folk art.
Again, it is extremely impressive and just about the only thing I think is worth seeing in Miami.
