A good ambassador he is not.
My Dad used to know him rather well. My Dad once had an extremely heated argument with him about a Polo ball. Incidentally my Father won, because he was the referee, and Philip was wrong!
Anyway, we used to live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Philip was coming out of the Government House in the Museum Grounds, and he spied my Father. "Good God Morrell," the prince consort said "What are you doing in this God forsaken hole?"
"I live here, sir" my Father replied.
"Good God, do you? Poor Bugger." And then he marched onwards to be swept away to some function or other.
