The fact that Lake Balaton doesn't look anything LIKE Hungary is probably a good thing. I have the say that I thought Hungary, and Budapest especially, was THE most depressing and disgusting place on the face of the planet.

Actually as I was born in Budapest, and it's the most beautiful city in the world for me. Once one of the Capitals of Austria-Hungary, it has kept it's own face full of buildings from the 19th century. And I didn't speak about the nice ruined castles and mansion all around the country. I think, you didn't really see Hungary's real jewels.
