Tip for air travel with a fountain pen

Travel with the pen either completely full, or completely empty. Completely full and there's no air to expand and force the ink out. Completely empty and there's no ink to be forced out. Simple really and it works.

So simple that I would never have even thought of it. Thanks.

Fantastic! I'm forced through my job to do a fair bit of air travel and I really like using my fountain pen. So keep it full and you'll be ok. I usually like to keep a ballpoint pen handy for flying and filling out immigration cards and the like. (Which is why they were invented by the way -- for RAF pilots in WWII --- by a Hungarian called Ernst Biro, or was he near Mount Biro, I can never remember that part, thanks anyway )
