The h2g2 Poem

When Jesus met Krishna

When Jesus met Krishna

It was like a dream.

A play of colours

On a silvery stream.

The stars held high,

At Bethlehem and Brindavan.

And time stood still

Before they climbed the hill.

When Jesus met Krishna

It was a good feeling.

A play of free love

Which earlier had no meaning.

The stars held high,

At Dwarka and Jerusalem

And time froze like ice

Before the roll of the dice.

When Jesus met Krishna

What did they talk?

A birth of a new world

Of freedom and love.

They talked about the hitchhiker,

And his guide to the galaxy.

What it means to share a community.

And this breathing fraternity.

So when Jesus met Krishna

It was like a dream.

A play of new thoughts

On an octave stream.

Awake from the slumber

Ride the wave today.

For tomorrow you play catch-up

As time flies away.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
