The h2g2 Poem

How far are the stars

If light travels faster than light?

What are black holes?

Do they consume all mass and energy?

If there's water on Mars

Does it support life?

How many moons and suns

Make up the cosmos?

How can the moon eclipse the sun

If it's much smaller in size?

Watching from the terrace,

Head gets heavy,

The compassing everlastingness.

Orion is the hunter.

Venus, the morning star.

And Jupiter's throne shining

Like a bodhi copperdome.

What are those objects flying high?

They saw in Mexico

And over Arizona desert.

At 11 PM

Before Christmas.

We are sitting here for nine months

At Stonehenge and Easter Island.

Waiting for a signal

Waiting for an answer.

A contact.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
