A Conversation for 'Citizen Kane' - the Film
Potential for embarassment

It was brought to my attention some time back that the movie has an enormous plot hole in its first five minutes...and I'm truly amazed that one of the most critically acclaimed, and certainly the most analyzed, film of all time was presented to the public in such a state. Perhaps people were more willing to suspend disbelief at the time.
The problem in the plot, for those who haven't noticed it before, is this...Charles Foster Kane dies utterly alone in his mansion. So how does it become known that his final word is 'Rosebud'?
Responses patiently awaited...

I haven't seen the movie for a couple of years, now, but I do seem to remember a nurse being around when Kane takes that inevitable last sled ride. I'll have to take another look at that.
Otherwise, my answer to this is "suspension of disbelief."
