Is it my idea, or the items you run across in the Lost and Found department include everything BUT whatever object/clothing/belonging that you yourself lost and are hoping to find there?

Naturally, this doesn't occur only in the lost and found area... it applies to anything you have lost in general.
Of course, you only find it when and only when you don't need it anymore, or you are too busy to actually bother to retrieve your newly found item.
this of course leads to the said belonging being lost again at the precise moment when you need it again, and so the cycle continues...

Some say this is direct proof of the validity of Murphy's Law
