THE MARRIAGE OF STOOBY AND GREEBO
THE MEETING
Stooby and Greebo... actually met over the ICQ chat program... so you can say we are an internet romance... ahhhh... sweet isn't it... ~grin~...
He came across my name in the white pages... he's a big PTerry fan like me... and he was intrigued... ~bigger grin~... He also liked my sense of humour... (You'll have to read the white pages for yourself).... and he sent a message of two words... on the 26th August 1999... and those immortal words that started off the romance of 1999 was...
"HEY YOU!"
After spending time writing to each other on ICQ... and then e-mail... and then hours of phonecalls... We decided to meet... and plucked up the courage to see each other for the first time... on the 8th October 1999... Stooby says that it was love at first sight... ~blush~... Me thinks he needs his eyesight checked... but then... he says he fell in love with my personality... before we met anyway... ~grin~ ... Some people are sooooooooo easily pleased... ~bigger grin~
THE ENGAGEMENT
Me announced my engagement (not to be confused with an actual marriage proposal) ... here at h2g2... about 9 weeks ago... ~bigger grin~...
Me actually got engaged on the 24th October 1999... got a really rather nice ring and everything... a glittering ruby... surrounded by 12 diamands... an 18 carat gold band... with a twist either side of the cluster... and another diamand embeded in the twist each side...
Me asked Stooby after visiting his parents for the first time... My actual words were... "Well... do you want to get engaged then?" ... Stooby... who was driving us back to my place... had to stop the car in a hurry... ~Oppsss~ .... He said 'yes'... me said... 'it's your turn to ask the question next time'... ~grin~... meaning the big one... marriage... He said 'I will ask you after we have lived together a week' ...
At Christmas... we spent crimbo day and boxing day at Stooby's parents... ~grin~... Hi Mum and Dad... if you are reading this... Love you lots and lots... and me loves your son... ~BSK~ ... ~cough... sorry about that~
We came home and then spent until after the New Year at my little Lair... ~grin~... Stooby asked me to marry him as we heard the striking of Big Ben announcing that Year 2000 was starting... me got all emotional... and of course said "YES!!!"
THE WEDDING
Me actually wanted to get married on April 1st 2000... ~grin~... seemed a good day to me... being a mischevious pussy... ~grin~... but this was denied us... and we decided to go for the 15th April 2000...
We are getting married in my local Registry Office... ~grin~... Me not into big churchy weddings... and me WILL NOT be wearing a wedding dress... me can't remember the last time me dressed up girlie... ~grin~...
Everyone attending is going to meet at a Wine Bar called Turpins... about 1:30pm... ~grin~.. so we can get into party mood before getting to the actual ceremony... which hopefully will start at 3:00pm... ~claws crossed~
