Just wondering how much this applies to other areas of human expression/ skill - mostly because I am surfing hootoo whilst avoiding doing my big deal thing (writing, for the curious.) Whoops. Bad me. It just struck me that a lot of what was said isn't relevant only for music, or practicing, but for everything that people care about which isn't their 'job'.
Here's an example: When you write a story you have to redraft so much that you never want to see it again before it's any good, ditto poems, everything. I'm not very musical, but the only songs I can sing are the ones I'm fed up to the back teeth with...
So I was wondering about your tips - ideas of pushing self and dedication and how they might be applied to other things. Any ideas/ comments?
