I once read this in my old school copybook.
Quatermass woke up with Hettie. "Where am I?" she asked him.
Martian insects rose. "Stop!" said Quatermass.
The Martians were actually plasmic intelligences that were able to bend their bodies into any shape.
Hettie cried, "Let us leave!"
That was my Sci-Phase.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
