I remember all this lot going on. there was an incredibly politically incorrect joke doing the rounds at the time, it wouldn't have needed asterix's (asterixiii?) then but does now!
"have you heard the one about Scott?"
"Scott of the antarctic?"
"no, Scott of the a**e antic!"
Great shame about many aspects of this, including the poor
