A Conversation for Doors
Automatic doors
Maz Started conversation May 31, 2003
These doors often have short delays before operating so that staff of the buildings can be amused by clients (or visitors) stepping backwards and forwards trying to make the sensors work.
You will also often find that the next doors after the automatic ones will be ordinary non-auto types. This is so that the afore-mentioned staff can then watch visitors standing before the door waiting in vain for it to open.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
