The context makes it clear that “process” should have been left as “precess”.
Probably merited a footnote, mind you. But come to think of it, the same could be said for quite a few other bits - it all seems rather abstruse to me!
I had an MRI scan some time ago (came out of it “clean”), and I feel I know a bit more about it from reading this entry. But not a lot!
