In Holland they're called Casper en Hobbes. Hmm, Casper isn't an improvement, why did they change it then? It is or used to appear in the NRC newspaper.

In Denmark they're called Sten og Stoffer. Sten is just a regular name and Stoffer is well, stuff (can also mean drugs 
).
