I can't believe that nobody has mentioned P.J. yet.
Some samples:

I've never heard of P.J. O'Rourke but if those are his "witty" quotes then I can believe no-one(else) has mentioned him yet.

Well, it takes all types I suppose. Maybe I just didn't choose paticularly good examples

My favourite P.J. quote is: "If the outdoors are so great why aren't the homeless happy?"

Another: "If meat is murder are eggs rape?"

Not very PC but real funny!
