I read in our paper (6 December 2020) that a German scientist has calculated that the alcohol imbued by James during the meal would result in a total blood alcohol level of 392 mg per 100 ml.
They add that "amorous adventures" would certainly be out of the question at this point; people have always speculated as to where they are going at the end of the sketch.
Getting up the stairs would also prove pretty risky, if not nigh on impossible, too.

I've always worried about that - but then i think, maybe the water from the vase of flowers mitigates some of it?
