A Conversation for Pennsylvania's Great Walking Purchase

I have a feeling that the date of the race is probably Sept. 19, 1737, not 1937. I believe most, if not all, of the Delaware Indians were quite dead by the 1930s.

Quite right! I'll go and point that out to the appropriate party!
What did you think otherwise?

Excellent as usual, Jimi. You are a virtual treasure trove of Pennsylvanian folklore. If only I lived in a state half as interesting.

California. In 1737 it was all still dirt farms, I believe.

But there's still a lot of cool stuff out there...
You could do something with earthquakes, the West Coast culture, Disney, being so close to Mexico, living in a btwo-language society, etc...
I have it easy because my parents drug me all over Penna and showed me all this stuff. My father majored in Pennsylvania history in college....

Don't forget the Indians and the Spanish. And all that fun stuff...
You could fill a TDV server if you tried. (that is my new ambition, btw!)

I think I already have. I've already done a couple pieces on Southern California, travel guide kind of stuff. The one on Los Angeles should hit the homepage in another day or two. I just did one on Oahu as well, since I lived there for a few years. So right now I'm burnt out on that kind of article, even though I'm being badgered into doing one on Orange County. Oh well. Anyway, I've stirred up so much activity in my religion commentaries, that I don't think I'll have time to work on anything else for a good while. And the Urban Legends collection is still receiving submissions.

So don't talk to me about not having enough to write about in your 'boring' state...
I guess I still owe you the Mikey Life Cereal kid explosion story too!

Oh, there's always something to write about even in boring places, if only to write about how boring they are (as my Inland Empie article does). It's just that this place doesn't have any interesting stories like that. I don't necessarily need to write about them.
I'd long since given up on receiving that Mikey story, but if you hurry, you can get it in with this wave of additions...I'm editing a pair right now.
