There are odd coincidences too. One gentlemen (whose name I forget, Rossieter or something like that) does profiles on serial killers. He found out that Gacy had known his family growing up. In fact he had had a job delivering groceries to the other mans family home in his teens. They probably crossed one anothers path often growing up. I imagine it gave the profiler a few chills.

Richard Speck rings a bell and I've certainly heard of John Wayne Gacy, your mate had a lucky escape

He did indeed. I would never have met him had he not. Richard Speck was the one who murdered a bunch of student nurses in their apt. He got caught because one had rolled under her bed and hid and was able to give the police an eyewitness account of what he looked like. Right down to a tattoo that he had on his arm.
They all slip up somehow in the end. Bundy got caught because of a bite mark (or so I understand).

It's been a while since I studied Ted Bundy, he did leave a bite mark on one of his victims but I'm not sure if that caught him or blind luck, blind stupidity caused the death of at least 2 of his victims
