I had the pleasure of meeting Jim (and Alison, briefly) a couple of years ago. While obviously very busy, he was happy to stop and chat on two occasions during my families day-long visit to Monkey World. A pleasure to meet and chat with; and a loss to the world of primate welfare.

Another researcher also met Jim and from what you have both said, the man was very approachable, which adds to the personality of the Jim Cronin the rest of us have seen via TV.
