Stealth, dexterity, agility and the training in the martial arts. The ninjas have it all. Trained to walk among the living without being detected. Trained to break into any places to recover something or even kill a target without anyone knowing it. Ninjas have been trained by martial art masters to be the quickest and best, nothing less. Thus they are often not in groups used for soloing.
