If you look in the dictionary for the saying, "Jack of all Trades", there will be a picture of the Red Mage (well probably not.. but should be). The Red Mage is able to to wear some armor, wield some weapons, use some Black Magic, and some White Magic. He isn't the greatest at all of those things, but if need be, the Red Mage can fill a spot for almost any class in a party. It takes the Red Mage a bit longer to be able to use most spells, compared to a White Mage or Black mage, but he can also learn some unique weapon enchanting, regeneration, and casting speed enhancing spells that his brethren can't.
