Hi
From the very first time I heard a Roy Buchanan track to this very day a shiver runs down my spine and the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.Screeching Telecaster riffs, slow soulful single notes, the depth of the tracks seem endless.
I was eight years old and was listening to Sweet Dreams on my cousins
radiogram. When listened to in depth Roy makes this a spell binding track that I could listen to forever, its his show piece that can make you smile or cry and once you've heard it you'll want to hear it again.
Now I listen to him at least twice a week, running through the second album and Sweet Dreams the Anthology.A tear often falls.I'm just really sad that i was born a little too late to of had a chance to of seen him play live in a small smokey bar that he seemed to love to do.
Even though hes passed on now his music can never die as long as there are people like us to pass it down to our children.
Anyway I hope I've started the ball rolling and that others will join in with their experiences of Roy and i'll be happy to respond to any posts that might be made.
Thanks for listening and keep it Roy
Cheers
