Pi - The film

I'd heartily recommend 'Pi', it is a fantastic film. I found it quite inspirational, started looking for Fibonacci numbers everywhere. And found them.
Great soundtrack too.

Watching it at the moment... (ad break)
It's slightly disconcerting that they keep mentioning "216", the number of colours the Apple Macintosh and IBM PC VGA screens have in common, aka the list of "web safe" colours...

That's because the websafe colours can be calculated as six different levels each of red, green and blue...
The Mac and PC normally show eight different levels of each; the "middle" six of the PC's eight levels are the same brightness as the dimmest six on the Mac. (I think... It's been a while since I had to work it out in anger...)
