1)Years ago I hear a story of the disappearance the the Earrings from the gold mask but don't remember the details. Anyone know?
2)What in the world happened with the damage of the mask with a large DENT in the right shoulder? What a shame, What carelessness! Anyone know who did this? I heard Howard Carter in his disrespect and rush get get the mask off the body did the deed, and took off the head of the boy King in the excited rush!

1) Earrings were discovered in Pharaoh Tutankhamun's tomb by Howard Carter

but he did not remove them from the mask.
2) Howard Carter did it; and he did indeed sever the head of the body when he tried to remove the death mask. The resin used to affix the mask to the mummy's wrappings had set like superglue
