Okay, I was scrolling down my page, like any h2g2 researcher does, and came across a link that said "Beer Mats (yesterday) (submitted)" So I thought hold on, there's something fishy `ere, I haven't been to that page in months. So I click on it and `ave a look, and have only one thing to say.
AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You're one of THEM aren't you, you're one of THEM!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I'm one of THEM.
I'm a subby.
Don't you like the work then? I know it's a bit different from what was originally submitted but I felt that there were a few gems missing, such as the unusual collectors. Anna has done a fair bit of tidying up on what I pushed back to her, she's very good like that.
I do hope you like it and aren't upset.
Here, have a smilie

You're welcome. Although it's probably Anna you should thank.
We are catching up, eventually. I think the last batch I had was only ten weeks old.

Do you know how long H2G2 has been running? I want to know how late I was getting here.
Very late - as usual - of course, I'm sure.

I honestly can't remember when I got here. I've a very bad memory for time. I never even remember what day of the week it is, I'm not working at the moment so there is nothing to distinguish one day from another. I found this place by pure chance and couldn't find anything here so I figured it was still under construction, then a while later I watched Tomorrows World when DNA was on there, gave it a couple of weeks for the expected rush to die down and then hooked up. Phone bill's risen since.

hehehe
I saw it on Tomorrow's World but I didn't have internet access at the time and all my friends did so they got here before me, so I begged my dad to get us on the internet and he's regretting he ever did so...
hehehe

You really only need to point out to him that the internet is fast becomming a corner stone of our lives. More so than television ever did.
There is even an estate of homes now where every applience is hooked up to the internet. You can be travelling home from work on the train and email your kettle with your arrival time to have it boil as you walk through the door, you can put a microwavable meal into the microwave when you go to work and then email it with the time you'll get home and your dinner will be ready as you arrive. The internet is here and it is going to stay. We can't help that.

Soon you'll probably be able to access it on a beer mat ...

Lots of smilies! Good job it's not Hallowe'en still or that would have been one scary line of oddness.

Yes, so I noticed! It was as much a surprise for me actually. I had completely forgotten about the forum and wondered what was going on when the submission came up on my page. I hadn't written a beer mat entry and certainly hadn't edited one. As soon as I saw it again I remembered all about "flip"! Jeez, I see so many articles these days I think my brain's going numb.
Anyway, if I'm not mistaken, you seem reasonably contented that the entry is now part of the approved guide?

And yes, Pastey is one of us now. Hah hah hah hah hah ...
Hmm, that "scary" laugh (which wasn't actually that scary really) would have been so much more effective during the Hallowe'en season. Oh well.

It's very different to what it was. Before it was, as they say, shit. Now it's not.

Odd French though - surely "Zut alors" would be more apt? Nice to see someone happy with an article rejig though!

Thank deity. Often you get to thinking that they hate what you've done. Mind you I think ET's more happy that it's been accepted than anything.
