Nice entry. Succinct. Just the facts, ma'am Any actor in Forrest Gump is okay by me. However...

"At the time, he was one of the youngest people ever to have been nominated for an Academy Award."

If I remember correctly, Shirley Temple won a special Oscar in the 1930s, but was not nominated, she was given it as a special honor (I'm not sure, I wasn't there). I suppose the entry is correct in this sentence, but doesn't it imply something that's not really correct?

Anyway, the phrase "one of the youngest" was specifically suggested by Jimster in PR to avoid having to say "eighth youngest" (apparently true) as that could change. There have been several people younger than him (dunno if Shirley was counted as you're right, hers was only Honorary & Minature, I'm writing an entry on her) but I think "one of the youngest" is safest, as it doesn't commit to anything, is future-proof, etc.
