A Conversation for Peanut Butter
George Washington Carver?
Joe Bowers Started conversation May 25, 2001
I have been told a (possibly apocriphal) story that
George Washington Carver invented Peanut Butter
while researching making a Peanut byproduct based
phonograph needle. Anybody know if this is true/false?
(George Washington Carver is an American inventor
and sort of intellectual hero who came up with
a zillion uses for the peanut around the turn
of the 19th/20th century)

Thats right, George Washington Carver did invent many uses for the peanut. He was well known for his work in agriculture.
