"God's Man" by Lynd Ward makes an interesting read if you like the Sandman series. It's a graphic novel (in woodcuts!) which was written in the 1920's, and has no speech or text at all. You follow the eerie story just from the pictures.
I'm reading the Sandman novels in order, but I've only reached Season of Mists. They're so expensive that I'm treating myself to one every once in a while so it'll take me a while until I finish. And I get to really savour them this way.

They sound great! Where might I be able to find them?

It's just one book, and it was republished recently. Amazon certainly has it, and maybe some libraries will too.
