Marmite and beetroot sandwiches :
White bread; butter (to stop the beetroot juice staining your fingers through the bread); pickled beetroot, sliced; marmite. Simple as that.
Lovely - the combinations of vinegary sweet beetroot and the tangy salty marmite is lovely (the purple and brown appearance not quite so appealing)
Marmite on crumpets : delicious (and if eaten without butter, a very low fat snack)

Marmite can also go with cheese and pitta bread (a thin tough hollow bread, kinda like a dried out naan) in a sandwich.

Completely forgot about cheese and marnite - another great combination.
Also - marmite on dry toast served with mushroom soup. Delish.

You know what I think is sublime ?
Marmite on white 'processed' bread (you know, sliced bread) with butter. Mmmmmm. DON'T toast it - it's more perfect without.
Oooooh. Feel all whistful now.

Try this - fresh toast made with economy white 'plastic' bread. Loads of butter, marmite on top, peanut butter on top of that.
MMmmmm - could try a knob of butter on top, or reverse the marmite + peanut butter, and leave the marmite in big blobs.
Or, if you're feeling sad butter all the tost, then marmite on one half, turn bread 90 degrees, then peanut butter on half (so you get 4 squares). Wow.
