Cheese on Wholemeal Thick Sliced Toast
Bacon Butties
Stirred into Tomato Soup
Spread onto a pizza base before you add the toppings
Spread thinly onto pastry before making sausage rolls
An alternative use for the last diluted drops in the jar is as a glaze for any savoury quiche or as a substitute for soy sauce.

Charlie's recipe for Marmite Dreams - aged 14 months

Take 1 slice of Toast as above, thinly spread with Marmite, and I slice thinly spread with honey - organic if possible.

Mash firmly together and dip in milk

Rub in hair and round highchair,

Peel the two pieces apart and throw bit with most honey on at either cat or Grandad (whichever is nearest/not looking)

Eat Marmite Toast.

Mmm, sounds delicious, but for true marmite perfection, my personal favourite has to be:

Fresh bread underneath the desired amount of marmite, underneath a huge dolloping of hummus.

marmite and hummus, oh, oh, hmmmmmmmmmmmm, now i have made myself HUNGRY smiley - sadface.

oooh - my personal Anglo-Jewish-American fusion food: a toasted bagel (a proper bagel, not those things M&S sells that are just rolls with holes in the middle), with a thin layer of Marmite, and a nice schmear of cream cheese on top of that (on no account try spreading the Marmite on top of the cream cheese - it just won't come off the knife). Mmmmmmm.....

I'll definitely be trying marmite and hummus. A variation which has non-aficionados screaming in horror: Marmite and cream. Clotted cream is best. Marmite first, of course (as with cream cheese). A suprising but beautiful combination, which somehow (for me anyway) has the tang of strawberries to it!
