Conrad couldn't help but smile. Habib was the first and it surprised everybody. Nadine had made Simone happy, but then she left her alone for ten years. Patrick left for Europe but only parts of him came back. Abigail joined the Peace Corps to find herself but the drugs followed her. The rest made it to retirement and promised to get together at least once a year. Melanie was the first not to make that date, but she managed to go a week before Toby, so Rita met Conrad at the funeral and they spent a week together in New York waiting for the other funeral. Yeah, Conrad had to smile. They all thought his reckless ways would insure he would be the first to go. He didn't have any teeth left. They all fell out, but he outlived William. He couldn't help but smile.
