Had a lovely walk with my son, wife and in laws the other weekend, it's amazing what's right under your nose.
These were the best instructions I could find. My father in law enjoyed the train connects and my son loved walking along the ghost platform. It was a bit muddy in places.

It is indeed a very nice walk. I'm gathering it hasn't changed too much - I moved away from Finsbury Park not too long after I wrote this.
