I like the article, very of the cuff and informal.
Thing is though on about line 17 (not including spaces) there is an extra r in front of the word and.
Don't want to be picky, I make enough of those mistakes myself.

The extra letter's a spare (It's a long trip, after all) .
Aha!... the balance of the cosmos has been restored by the missing 'f' in your posting.Glad you liked the article though.
Incidentally, the author's name is missing. Please don't take umbrage (author). That will be put right shortly.

What f have I missed?
It is a good article though isn't it. Makes a change not being a factual, this will help you in your day to day life sort of look up reference article, but rather a learn from this experience one.

'... very of_ the cuff...'
It's actually quite an interesting subject. There's a lot more to than one might, at first, suppose. I'll certainly not look at a chockie bar again the same way.

Sorry. I think my brain derailed then. I'm on track again now though.
You're right, it's interesting to read personal accounts of travel adventures . I thought that the Guide would be full of articles like this. It is a bit surprising that it's not.

At least in Bristol you have a rather cool nightclub/pub on the way to the Nover Hill Industrial Eastate called "The Enterprise"

I Have the album (on vinyl) called The Bristol Recorder. It has a wonderfully insightful interview in it by Peter Gabriel (plus tunes)that has fascinated me for many years. Is there still a Bristol Recorder?

If you have never been to Bristol have you been to Croydon lately. The seven months late Tramlink is now fully open (or it will be after next Tuesday. Stations every one minute. Plenty of shopping and pubs and the opportunity to get home fast for the late night movie.
It will be useful for the tennis this year or for those gardeners to go to Morden Hall, free entry and a walk through an area Henry 8th used to shoot dear. Or visit Addington Palace as noted down in the doomsday book. For the rich you can get a nice meal for £85 each
