The best activity involving (or not involving) christmas cards is not to write them.
I don't understand why some people write cards to people they are going to see on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or Boxing Day anyway. The reason people originallly wrote them was to wish a merry Christmas to friends and relatives who they were NOT going to be with during Christmas.
I hate to sound like a hate Christmas because I don't, I just don't see why people willingly waste money and resources in order to wish someone a merry Christmas. Simply say the words "merry Christmas" to them and I'm sure they will get the jist of what you are trying to say!
Send cards to people you are unlikely to see

'tell you the truth, I wholeheartedly agree with you.
I stared an exprimemnt a few years ago whereby I delayed sending Christmas cards to anyone until I actually received one from them. It has redued the Christmas cards I send to a quarter
