If you ever accidently swallow something sharp,
eating much Sauerkraut may prevent your inner organs
of being shred by this thing, because it wraps around
it inside your stomach.
This is really true,I was told so by a doctor.....

now this just goes to show you that everyone learns something new everyday ....personally i love the taste of sauerkraut and never actually plan on swallowing anything sharp but with my skill at being accident prone this is just the sort of advice that may come in handy sometime in my future

Sauerkraut is even more than that.
In my neighbourhood lives an alcoholic (actually there are several alcoholics) who IS still alive just because of eating only cold Sauerkraut while drinking his beer (wich he does the whole day).

Yes, Suerkraut can save lives! I live close to an airoprt in southern Germany, and they grow cabbage right next to the runways, so in autum, when they harvest they burn the outer leaves of the cabbage right on the fields. this means if the navigation systems of the aircraft fail the pilot can still stick out his nose and land rigt were it doesn't stink! I can not recall any crashes. -it works-!
