A Conversation for Anoraks
Anorankhs... (eek)

I know I'm probably going to get flamed to all Hades and back for this, but I cite the great L-Space Web. The most perfect examples of an anorak can be found cast in pewter (even gold or silver if you've got the dosh), shrouding a tiny ankh (NO I don't get commissions from Cl*recr*ft but I wish I did!).
I *DID* read the whole AFP thread containing the name of the genius responsible for the conflation of anorankh but... his name escapes me. The reason why I bring this up is because it proves what an amazing garment is the anorak - held in sacred esteem by ancient civilisations and worshipped as a symbol of fertility....

Although L-Space is all-encompasing in a time and place style of thing the Anorak was probably the first object made by the gods. Before even time itself was thought of as a good idea to confuse us all.

Gruntfuttock, you're a genius - my mind's eye can see the gods donning their anoraks over their togas to keep them warm & dry before beginning to create the universe. Coolll! There's hope for ramblers and trainspotters ( not meant derogatorily, trainspotters are so cool they made a movie about them ) yet!
