A Conversation for Bertolt Brecht - Playwright
Lets hear if for Bertie

I'm an Actor, but can't stand politics. When I got introduced to Brecht I thought... Oh God Noooo! But I've got to say, he's one of my favourite playwriters. At the Drama School that I attended we always had a Brecht term, where we'd all rehearse and perform various Brecht plays, it was magic. I've had the luck to be in two of Brechts plays, and the magic of them is still with me. First was Fear and Misery of the Third Reich and the second, The Threepenny Opera. I'd heard all the fuss about the Threepenny opera before I was in it but had never seen it or read it. When we started rehearsals I wondered what all the fuss was about, (it's one of his most popular plays.) but by the end... My God! The songs still wander through my head regularly. If you've not experienced Brecht yet, give yourself a treat and find a show to watch.
