Driving Etiquette - Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico has some interesting practices, at least compared to the USA. Yea, Puerto Rico is part of the US, but not everyone there likes it and definately doesn't drive it. Driving is much more relaxed in a passive agressive kind of way.
1. The lines painted between the auto lanes are the motorbike lanes in heavy traffic - yellow or white lines or dashes, sometimes double
2. Traffic lights can be disregarded at night - something like after 10 or so.
3. Left turn signals are everywhere. Traffic would come to gridlock if they were obeyed. Often disregarded if the way is clear.
4. All lanes are to be used until they are gone - no getting over ahead of a lane closure or end.
5. The shoulder is a lane. Can be used for driving the wrong way or backwards the correct way if the only gear is reverse.
6. Not all exits have signs, and not all intersections have traffic control, especially out of the cities.
7. Some road maps are documents that have traveled backwards in time. Many of the roads on them will be there 10 or 20 years from now.
8. San Juan has bus lanes on at least two of the main one-way streets that travel opposite traffic.
9. Drivers drive. Waiting for an opening in traffic is not driving.
10. Accidents are illegal.
11. Emergency vehicles use their light all the time.
