As I said in the Entry, obesity is associated with both diabetes and dementia.
It's interesting to note that recent studies have suggested that diabetes and Alzheimer's Disease may be linked.
AD destroys chemical mnessengers in the brain, staring with the build-up of deposits that can disrupt normal messenging, due to inflammation.. One symptom of AD is memory loss.
A study by Kurze Technology (USA) has shown that a nasal spray gave a 20% improvement in memory in AD patients, compared to AD patients who'd been given a placebo. (These showed no improvement)
