Personally, I think the intro could do with a lot of work as it introduces many concepts in a slightly confused fashion. However, it definitely includes £D when it means 3D.
The description of RAW is, simply, wrong. Each raw format is different because each camera has a different sensor and each manufacturer wants to include additional information (including the dimensions in some cases). This is actually a good thing, bizarrely, because it means you get the most out of the camera rather than being forced into a compromise by your image format. However, if you want a standard format, Adobe are pushing DNG, which you don't even mention.
Some raw formats are compressed (lossy or lossless can both be used). And, in general, the files are NOT huge. In fact, they're fairly compact compared to uncompressed TIFF, PSD, BMP etc. This is because with a standard sensor (square pixel, 1 site/pixel) and a Bayer filter, the file is a third the size of an uncompressed bitmap of the same image.
Under PCX you don't mention the encoding mechanism, but I thought it was RLE. Which you then describe as the encoding format for GIF, which is untrue. As you mention later, the preferred compression meechanism for GIF is LZW.
TIFF files compressed with LZW shouldn't be significantly different in size to GIFs, if the level of detail stored is the same.

Hi manolan.
I've changed £D to 3D since that was, as you said, an obvious error. I'm not at all sure about the rest of it, so I'll raise your points in <./>Feedback-Editorial</.>.
