Visiting Bruton Somerset

Allow about 1 1/2 hours to walk around Bruton. This includes the two back streets (known as Higher Backwater and Lower Backwater) that run parallel to the High street). The High Street is full of interesting little shops and an excellent deli/coffe shop. Tea and Coffee is also served at the Sun Inn.
For the more adventurous why not climb the hill to the Bruton Dovecote and anjoy the splendid views across the town.
After all that exertion I would recommend a lunch at the Bull Inn, Hardway, Bruton, a typical country pub serving excellent food located just 5 minutes out of town but worth the short drive.
