I know that this might not be a welcome criticism, but I found the writing of this article to be glib, and the content to be overly general. For instance, John Smith is noted as a leading citizen, but the only actions that you list are going to jail, almost being killed by the Powhatan Indians, getting on the nerves of the authority figures, and playing with gunpowder. What was his contribution? Additionally, the incident where Pocahontas saves Captain Smith's life is by no means considered a factual account. Historians disagree about its veracity, suggesting that such an action would have violated her upbringing, her religion, and her loyalties. It has been widely suggested that it was a tale concocted to romanticize colonization, or to embellish the exploits of Captain Smith himself.

While I am stoked that there is an entry about my home state, I feel that the article gives an overall impression that is not representative of the true history of Virginia.
